The CiteScore (Scopus) and SJR (Scimago) for 2022 have been published.

Dear "Rud.-geol-naft. zb." journal users,

The CiteScore (Scopus) and SJR (Scimago) for 2022 have been published. The SJR is 0.33 ( vs. 0.43 in 2021), and the CiteScore 2.5 ( vs. 2.7 in 2022). Consequently, we are ranked in 5xQ3 in SJR and, regarding CiteScore, 2xQ2 (Earth and Planetary Sciences: Geology , General) and 3xQ3 (Earth and Planetary Sciences: Geotechnical Engineering and Engineering Geology, Energy: General Energy, Environmental Science: Water Science and Technology). This is a drop in ranks compared to 2021, though we have significantly increased the number of citations. But, the result is entirely to be expected, considering that the journal has published a significantly more articles per year from 2021 onwards (important as denominator), and their consequent citations (numerator) will probably start to increase fraction from this year and improve the ranking of the journal in the long run. I would also like to remind all users that this year the journal will receive the Journal Impact Factor (JIF) for the first time. I expect the "Rud.-geol.-naft. zb." to be selected as Q3 in the JCR 2022 and the readership will be informed about ranking when it will be officially published.
Thank you for your support.

Kind regards,

Editor-in-Chief
