Sažetak

The purpose of this paper is to recognize the attitudes of Croatian consumers towards ecologically grown or organic food and to determine their relationship with the off er of such food in hospitality facilities. The empirical research was carried out by the survey questionnaire on a sample from the territory of the Republic of Croatia. The research has shown that most Croatian consumers rarely buy organic food, but still have positive attitudes. The study found that the most common motive for the purchase of ecologically-grown foods is health-related, while the most common reason for abandoning the purchase of ecologically-grown foods is the higher prices of ecologically-grown foods compared to conventional food. Furthermore, although most respondents are not inclined to consume ecologically-grown foods in hospitality facilities, it is stated that respondents who are more likely to buy and consume ecologically-grown foods would like to be offered in hospitality facilities as well and are willing to pay more for it.
