Abstract

The aim of this paper was to determine how Croatian consumers perceive different types of burgers (beef, game, shrimp, and seaweed). An online survey was conducted on a sample of 221 respondents. Univariate and bivariate data analyses were performed using the SPSS program. Respondents perceived meat-based (beef and game) burgers as tastier than seafood-based burgers (shrimp and seaweed). The shrimp burger was considered healthier, while both the game and shrimp burgers were perceived as more expensive compared to other types of burgers. The results provide valuable insights for burger producers and the hospitality sector in adapting their offerings to the demands of modern burger consumers.
