About the Journal

Journal "Social ecology" publishes theoretical, empirical and methodological papers within the scope of social ecology, as well as other scientific disciplines related to the area of environmental sociology. The journal is scientific in nature and publishes papers acceptable to variety of readership.

The journal is published three times a year. The price of a single issue for foreign countries US $10 or the equivalent in any convertible currency (by air mail US $13). The annual subscription US $34 (by air mail US $56).

Article submission: Social Ecology journal charges no article submission, processing or publication fees to authors. All processing and publishing related expenses are covered by the publisher. The journal allows authors to deposit their accepted for publication or published work in an institutional or other repository of their choice.

Peer review: All received papers undergo an editorial check to establish their thematic and structural appropriateness for the journal. If they do satisfy the journal’s standards, manuscripts are then referred to a review process which includes double blind reviews where both authors and reviewers remain anonymous. Each article is sent to a minimum of two anonymous reviews, with reviewers being selected from a wide range of impartial and distinguished domestic and/or international experts in relevant fields. All published scientific articles must have at least two positive reviews and positive decision by the Editorship.

Rights: Social Ecology journal supports open access and all its content is freely available with no charge to the user. According to the CC BY licence that Social Ecology applies, all articles published by the journal are immediately and permanently free for users to read, download, copy, and redistribute without the explicit permission from the publisher or author. Users must give appropriate credit but are also allowed to adapt, transform, and build upon the material for any purpose. Authors retain all copyright and, by giving consent for publication, they grant the right of first publication to the journal, both in print and in electronic format.
