The Local People’s Committee of Sveta Nedelja acted as a local government body. It began operating in July 1947, succeeding the former Local People’s Committee of the Municipality of Sveta Nedelja (1945-1947). The area of its jurisdiction comprised the area of Sveta Nedelja (Nedešćina) with the surrounding places, villages and hamlets. The Local People’s Committee of Sveta Nedelja was directly subordinated to the People’s Committee of the Labin District (1945-1955). It ceased to function in April 1952, when the area of its jurisdiction passed under the newly established People’s Committee of the Municipality of Sveta Nedelja (1952-1955). With the cessation of the work of the creator, the archives was stored in the archives of the successors, until it was handed over on several occasions between 1973 and 1975 by the Municipal Assembly of Labin to the State Archives in Pazin (then Historical Archives of Pazin in Pazin) . The records of the Fonds were arranged during 2013 and 2014, and in February 2014 a summary inventory was made. The structure of the fund was formed in accordance with the content-functional model of arrangement, partly relying on the rules specified in the Regulations about the Plan for the Unique Archival Signs for all Governing Bodies in the Territory of the People’s Republic of Croatia (Official Gazette 7/58) from 1958. The Fonds is divided into the following basic units (series): “Archival tools”, “General affairs”, “Labour and Labour Relationships”, “Internal Affairs”, “Economy”, “Finance”, “Property and Legal Affairs”, “Health care”,” Social Protection”, “Education and Culture”,” Judiciary” and “National Defence”. The archives contains numerous documents from the field of economy, agriculture and trade and supply. There are numerous files from the financial field, especially those related to tax issues and documents concerning property and legal issues related to the subjects of agrarian reform and colonization and the issues of optants. The Fonds also contains numerous documents in the field of social protection, i.e. cases related to the problems of disabled veterans, minors, etc. The records of the Fonds therefore provide a valuable source on social conditions in the place and period of activity of the creator.
