Abstract

On the basis of the fragmentarily preserved records (it can be assumed that part of the records were destroyed in the fire of the Svetvinčenat Castle during the 2nd World War) the author tried to establish the original order and, based on the available data, reconstruct the administrative history of Svetvinčenat in the period of Venetian administration and subsequent administrations until 1813. The fonds was divided into eleven units (series) based on which an attempt to give the picture of the contemporary administration was made: Minutes of the Meetings, Censuses, Civil Procedures, Criminal processes, Non Litigious Civil Cases, Consfiscations, Appraisals of Damage, Pledges, Church Claims, Circulars and Letters, and Other. Before the final arrangement of the fonds of the Feudal Administration of Svetvinčenat, the archives produced by the notaries of Svetvinčenat was set apart, even though in smaller places, such as this one, the role of the notary was carried out by the chancellor, whose documents are contained in this fonds. The records are not complete and have been preserved in fragments, but the re- but the records of the Feudal Administration of Svetvinčenat, as well as the records of the Notaries of Svetvinčenat, can nevertheless give answers to researchers to many questions related to the life in that period.
