The Summary Inventory of the Labin Municipality Fond during the Venetian Administration Period (1420–1797)

Abstract

The Author presents the summary fund inventory (description and list) of the fond HR-DAPA-2, preserving in State Archive in Pazin and regarding the archive material of the Labin Municipality during the Venetian period, i.e. from 1420 until 1797 and part of the inscriptions from the first Austrian, French and the beginning of the second Austrian administration, which were inscribed afterwards in the archive units from the Venetian administration. As the fond emerged from a wider fond, after the publication of the summary inventory of the Labin Municipality, it will be followed by the publication of the summary inventories: Podestat of Labin Municipality and Plomin Municipality, Labin Public Notary, Plomin Public Notary, The Labin Confraternities Brotherhood and Plomin Confraternities. The vast majority of the work regarding the administration history. The part of description related to the fund history is especially interesting and substantially, and on this basis we are informed about the different documentation destiny which was preserved until today. The list is structured in series, and each of the series was classified chronologically. Inside the fund are preserved the following series: Relations with administration in Venice, Podestat and captain of Kopar, Captain of Rašpor in Buzet, the Bishop in Pula and other 1420/1735; Minutes from the Committee meeting, the Consult and the Wheat Committee 1566/1789; The Municipality Accounting 1761/1797. (1797-1805, 1806-1807, 1814); The Church accounting 1721-1783; The Fontik Accounting 1669/1797 (1797-1801) (Lat. fonticum, It. fondaco; urban repository of meal and grain); Appropriations 1683/1797 (1797-1805, 1806-1807, 1813-1814); Receipts 1755-1783; Cadaster 1708; Inhabitants property 1593/1771; Taxes 1752, 1762. and Karatada (from Lat. carrus, It. carratada, obligation of transportation of the oak-logs from the place of woodcutting to a port on seaside) 1538, 1542/1599.
