Sažetak
The theme of this paper is the Europeanization of Croatian political parties in
the context of Croatia’s accession to the EU. The first part of the paper deals
with the very concept of Europeanization, and it aims at presenting various
relevant definitions of the term through showing differences in Europeanization
among candidate countries and member states of the EU. For better understanding
of the whole process of Europeanization of the parties and party
systems, the second part is dedicated to defining the Europeanization of political
parties, along with a brief notice on post-communist EU member states
that have passed through similar processes. In the third part, a programmatic
analysis of five Croatian political parties will be presented, with the emphasis
on the Europeanization component.
