The Priest and the Eucharist According to the Recent Documents of the Church

Sažetak
From 2002. to 2007. seven documents were published concerning the theme of liturgy. Some of these documents addressed the whole Church, while others were meant only for particular groups in the Church. Both are reflecting the official position of the Church and as such are normative in recognizing the meaning of the liturgy in the Church and the relationship of the Church towards liturgy. From these documents we learn about the care of the Church regarding the fidelity towards tradition, the transmission of the authentic apostolic tradition, and the dignity and aesthetics of the liturgical celebrations. During this year, proclaimed the year of the priest, from these document we read in a special way about the relationship between the priest and the liturgy in different aspects, as well as in particular parts of the liturgical celebration and circumstances that accompany it. By a comparison with earlier post-council documents, we can delineate a line of development of the liturgical reflection after the 2nd Vatican council.
