Sažetak
The article discusses the primate of the catechesis, stressing the urgent need for all catechetic impulses important for the edification of the parish community as well for the edification of the individual personal faith. Catechetic meetings, as a constitutive part of the catecheses are a privileged place for the permanent formation in faith of all members of the parish community. The parish community should be a place of mutual respect and affirmation of all members,
a place of friendly relationships and meetings. Such a community is apt to answer the contemporary challenges. Through the care for the edification of family communion, the parish catechesis bears its fruits. Family communion is fundamental for the parish communion.
The privileged group for the catechetic formation are the parents of children preparing for the sacraments of first communion and confirmation. The transmission of faith in the family is the basic question, of key importance for our pastoral ministry. The parish priest is the first and the main promoter of all catechetic initiatives in the parish. The transmission of faith should encompass all the generations. The school and the parish can not replace the parents in the religious formation of their children. According to the principle of subsidiarity, the school and the parish community can only help the parents in the religious education of their children. The parish priest should promote the consciousness of the responsibility of the parish community,
especially of the responsibility of the parents in the transmission of faith to the next generations.
