Sažetak

Data on dynamics of production and the catch of fish in respect to fish species, size of the fish-ponds, fishing means and distribution of production and catch in 1988, are presented in this paper. The exploited surface area has been enlarged for only 33 ha or 0,26% while
the total yield of fish was higher for 374 t or 2,32%. Major yields (1656 kg/ha) were achieved in Poljana fish farm.
Nutrition coefficient is 3,10 and that means higher for 10,7% than the one last year. Two fish farms (Belje and Crna Mlaka — Pisarovina) have nutrition coefficient lower than 2,0 kg, while seven large fish farms have coefficient higher than 3,00 kg. The fish is still mainiy fed on maize and then wheat.
In comparison to the last year, the amount of fertilizer consumed is reduced for 3%.
Out of total fish farm areas, 0,90% make nursary ponds, 25,48% make rearing ponds and 73,22% make fattening ponds.
Total increment in carp-ponds is 1173 kg/ha and in rainbow trout ponds it is 184 t.
Out of all fish species, carp is the one most frequently produced (77,61%). Following the carp, there are herbivorous species (14,25%) while the rest of other species represent 8,14% of the total production.
Out of herbivorous fish most numerous one produced is bighead (53,7%) followed by grasscarp (24,1%) and silver carp (22,2%). In comparison to the last year, the production of european catfish has been increased. Somewhat less increased is the production of rainbow trout while the production of tench, trout fingerlings and fingerlings of herbivorous fish, declined.
The catch of fish in open waters is 0,90% lower than last year's catch.
If total production and fresh water catch is summed up, the most represented is carp (74,62%), herbivorous fish follow with 13,6%, rainbow trouth 4,54%, european wells, pike perch and pike with 2,08% while all other fish species make 5,16%.
The distribution of catch and production shows that 59,89% of fish is sold to the market, that 29,21% has been used in reproduction (the stocking of the ponds), 4,48% for proper needs (sport fishermen) while the loss and mortality made 2,58%.
The number of employees is for only 2,5% bigger than last year and production per worker rose 0,82%. The average fish production per worker is 11,8 t. This year major productivity is obtained in Poljana and Belje fish farms (23,5 t per employee).
