Sažetak

In last four decade the aramid fi bres have become very important reinforcement. Aramid fi bres was commercialized for the fi rst time from side of company DuPont, SAD, with the name Kevlar. From that time the production of these fi bres was started in few other companies like Teijin Aramid, Germany which is selling aramid fi bres with name Twaron. Due to the information availability the most of presented data will be connected to Kevlar. Today aramid fi bres are being produced by four companies: Teijin Aramid (Nederland and Germany), DuPont (Switzerland and USA), Kolon Industries (Korea) and Kamenskvolokno (Russia). In time of expand usage aramid fi bres have been use for antiballistic protection products like helmets, vests, vehicle and airplane armour plates, for optical cables, gaskets and tiers productions, for special asphalts and concrete, parts of brake systems, composite parts for airplanes, vehicles and many others products.
