ATSC system for broadcasting the digital television signal

Sažetak

The aim of this paper is to present American system of digital television, which is similar to European standards in some areas but modulation process and technology for RF/transmission system are completely different. It is given the review of ATSC Standards and its major components. The paper describes the work of 8-VSB modulator, which is the main part of the whole system.
This paper summarizes the opinions of experts who are familiar with the ATSC system and the further future development of ATSC system.
