Vertical relief dissection of the land part of the Republic of Croatia

Sažetak
This paper deals with the vertical relief dissection analysis of the land part of the Republic of Croatia. The vertical relief dissection is a numerical relief parameter determined by the altitude difference between the highest and lowest point within the unit area. A quantitive indicator of the geomorphlogical characteristics and processes taking place in the relief is notable as an expression of the morphostructural and morphogenetic relief features of dynamic character.
The results of the vertical relief dissection analysis of the Republic of Croatia enable a new insight into the distribution and the area expanse of the particular categories of the vertical relief dissection. It' s possible, with great accuratly, to distinguish the areas of bigger ofr smaller stability for practical purposes ( construction industry, agriculture, water supply managment, traffic, town planning, tourism, radioactive waste delay and general regional planning) by correlation with the other morphometric indicators (for example slope inclinations).
