The main types of landslides in the Republic of Croatia and Republic of Bosnia and Hercegovina – geomorphological and landscape ecological aspects

Sažetak
The genetic classification of landslides in the Republic of Croatia as well as in the Republic of Bosnia and Hercegovina was not performed so far. In many domestic researches even no genetic distinction has been made either between slide and creep-debris flow processes, nor between slipping and rock-fall movements. However. besides substantial differences observable between these processes and factors, essential differences can even be found between various landslides. This paper presents different types of landslides and their characteristics. Distinction between various types must be made not only from the genetical point of view, but it is also necessary in the landscape ecological, engineering-geomorphological and engineering-geological practises.
