Sažetak
In her treatise the author analyses the role of the integration of science and technology in restructuring the economy. The process of globalization and inclusion of Slovenia into the EU renders the integration of science, technology and production practice imperative. The Thesis features the role of the Štajerski tehnološki part (Technological park of Styria) as a model of an effective scientific transfer that is to facilitate the long over due development of Maribor with its immediate surroundings as well as the region as a whole.
