Sažetak
Labour productivity is a fundamental indicator of business performance and an important indicator of the pace of growth and level of economic development. Hence, studying labour productivity, influential factors and measures for enhancing labour productivity is essential in theoretical, as well as applicative, terms. Accordingly, this paper analyses the influential factors of productivity – internal factors, in particular – and, based on these factors, puts forward measures aimed at augmenting labour productivity in the Croatian hotel industry. To gain better insight into labour productivity in Croatia's hotel industry, which is the aim of this paper, a long-term analysis was conducted from both a non-pecuniary and a pecuniary perspective. Researches confirm that quality management systems have a positive effect on labour productivity. Analysis was expanded to include a comparison of labour productivity in hotel enterprises that possess an ISO certificate and those that do not.
