Central Places of the Island of Krk

Sažetak

An analysis of settlements of the island of Krk according to functional significance was carried out. Three stages of centralization were determined with markwed differences; particularly between the third (lowest)nand the second (higher) hierarchical stage of centralization. The first /highest) stage pertains to the town of Krk as the centre of the borough. The overal population of the island gravitates towards the town of Krk.
