Sažetak
The analgetic effect of laser therapy as related to the duration of
application, the number of visits and remission of pain as a major symptom was assessed in a group of 53 patients with nine different diagnoses, on the basis of clinical observations. A complete analgetic success was recorded in 69,8% of patients, a partial success in every fifth patient (20.7%), only a slight improvement in 9.4% whereae a complete failure was not observed in ayn of the patients under study. The mean number of visits for lasere therapy was 3.36, duration of application per patient and per visit was 10 min and 3 min,
respectively. The results confirmed the analgetic effect of laser to occur as soon as after the first or the second session, resulting in satisfactory effects especially in cases of dolor post extractione, dentitio difficilis, neuralgias or tissue healing. Accordingly, laser therapy can be successfully used as an aternative or additional treatment accompanying traditional methods. However, further clinical and other studies are necessary to provide some more precise parameters.
