Contribution towards time saving in dental prosthetics

Sažetak

The author checked the course of the first examination and its duration by means of simple operative research methods, .i. e. by checking the time on his watch in the Department of Prosthetics. The Department of Prosthetics has 20 consultation room work sites. The checking of the time elapsed showed that the first examination took almost twice as long as was foreseen by the norm for this type of work. One of the reasons was the lengthy dialogue between the dentist and the patient about the prosthetic replacement. The author attempted to shorten this dialogue by handing out written instructions to every patient prior to his first consultation and examination. The results of this solution are described in the paper.
