Profesional diseases of dentists caused by static load and bad working habits

Sažetak
Dental work, performed by most dentists in a standing position, is the cause of various professional diseases of a static nature. Having analyzed for several years the work of 500 students of dentistry, and the consequences of twenty and more years of work by 35 dentists, the authors have arrived at the conclusion that the causes of static disturbances and deformities should be sought in the wrong posture at work, bad working habits, and antiquated dentist chairs. They see the solution of the problem in the proper education of dentists, the use of modernly designed dentist chairs, in working alternately in a standing and setting position, and in preventive activities and exercises. The paper is documented by numerous data and sketches.
