Sažetak
Upon receiving the sacrament of confirmation, many young people depart discontinue to participate in the Eucharistic celebration and depart from the parish community. After discussing the reasons of this trend, the author presents the basic characteristics of today's youth. The author concludes that this exodus is not primarily an abandonment but rather the youth are not discovering anything interesting or attractive. Young people do not actually leave the church and faith, but rather a "boring" faith and liturgy. Let us recall that the world in which we live is very competitive. This is also present in some ways when it comes to the relationship between secular and religious reality. Contemporary forms of secular entertainment in many ways are similar to church and liturgical events. When it comes to young people who have received the sacrament of confirmation, it is necessary to allow them to experience in their parish liturgical celebrations an appropriate performative event. A faith led by wisdom shows us that, in accordance with true pastoral care and liturgy, this is possible. The fact that youth leave the parish community and liturgical celebrations, especially the eucharistic celebration after confirmation does not mean that young people have completely abandoned the Christian community and faith. Young people should have the opportunity to discover themselves, their personal happiness and interest in the liturgical and parish gatherings and activities. For this to happen cooperation between the parish and the wider church community, parents and youth is essential.
