Sažetak

The psychological analysis of the religious development of youth reveals that their spiritual life manifests the general psychological situation of their age. A central aspect of this development is the ability to confront those that suffer, aspiration for high ideals and readiness to have a personal relationship with God, that is, with Jesus. These characteristics are recognizable in youth spirituality. One aspect of holiness often characteristic for youth is the mysticism of suffering, which is apparent in the example of Chiara (Luce/Light) Badano.
