Sažetak
The paper provides a historical overview and the legal framework of the development of continuing education for librarians in Croatia. The characteristics of Training Center for Continuing Education for Librarians in Croatia are compared to the Training centre network - TCN-LIS in Eastern Europe and Central Asia. The performance indicators of the Croatian Training Center for Continuing Education for Librarians indicate some specific tendencies of development of a structured centralized system for continuous learning in the field of library and information science in Croatia.
