[Agenesis of M3 and space conditions in the appropriate quadrant]

Sažetak
Analysing 1383 orthopan tomogramie X rays of 621 male and 762 female orthodontic patienits agenesis of M3 was established in 260 cases, in 18.79%. No statistical significant difference was found in the frequency of agenesis M 3 regarding the sex of the patents. In the complete sample more often were lacking 1— 2 M 3 in relation to 3— 4 M 3. The agenesis of 2 M 3 was more frequent then the other combinations. No statistically significant differences in the frequency of agenesis in regard to various quadrants of the dental arches existed. Bimaxillar and both sided appearence of agenesis of M3 was more frequent then monomaxiliar or one sided. The number of examinies with both sided and left sided agenesis M3 was significantly higher then the one right sided. In approximately 40% it was established that agenesis of M3 had a positive influence upon the space conditions in the appropriate quadrant, in 33% it had a negative effect, while in the remaining there had not been any elements by which the influence of agenesis of M3 could be interpreted in the ways mentioned above.
