Sažetak
We present a case of a 9-year-old boy who fi rst presented to our hospital 5 days after the acute onset of abdominal pain, vomiting
and diarrhea, followed by icterus and intense pruritus. Diagnostic workup included abdominal ultrasonography, contrast radiography
of the small intestine, endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography and magnetic resonance cholangiopancreatography.
The patient underwent operative procedure and a choledochal cyst of 9x2x0.2 cm in size was excised, after which the
Roux-en-Y hepaticojejunostomy was completed. The late postoperative period was complicated by an episode of ascending cholangitis
and pancreatitis, which were successfully managed.
