[Results of the application of a fluoride gel in preschool children]

Sažetak

In a group of 94 children 3—4 years old after the application of an acidulated sodium fluoride gel twice annually the incidence of new dmf surfaces after 1 year was 4,3 or 51%. compared to 7,4 or 87" o in the controls. This difference in the caries incidence was found to be statistically significant at the 0,01 level. The obtained caries protection was greater on the occlusal than on the approximal surfaces.
