[The question of vertical dimension]

Sažetak

A regular vertical dimension is of great importance for functional and aesthetic value of the substitute. Neuromuscular, aesthetic, phonetic and geometrical-craniometrical criteria for its determination as well as their advantages and defects are presented. The significance of the free interocclusive space is pointed out, along with the view that there is still not a completely reliable method and that a method for direct determination in the state of terminal occlusion should be found.
