Sažetak

The primary health protection of women
and children, regarded according to the
participation of the agricultural population
in the total population as the factor that
determines the rurality of a region, has
through almost all the elements of health
protection shown a very high level of
positive correlation between the level of
development, work and work results of
health protection, and the participation of
the agricultural population in the total
population. This certainly enables us to
conclude that (although the necessary
data showing the health protection of
woman and children from agricultural
insurance were not at our disposal) the
health protection of farm women and
children is worse than that of the other
population.
From the aspect of how well the service of
primary health protection is developed, its
work and its results, there are differences
in the health protection of women and
children among regions and communes in
the SR Croatia.
In certain areas this service is not awlays
in positive correlation with the participation
of the agricultural population in the total
population. For example, some
"agricultural” areas were quite highly developed
from the aspect of health
protection, while others, with an
exceedingly small agricultural population,
have an inadequate health protection of
women and children according to some
indicators. That allows us to conclude that
the factor of rurality, i.e. the participation
of the agricultural in the total population, is
not the only factor essential for the primary
health protection of women and children.
Another important factor is the different
level of development of the health service
and its work in different areas.
