"Women in Love" and Expressionism (I)

Sažetak

Lawrence's greatest prose work, "Women in Love", displays in its
formal features a remarkable congruence with some of the
fundamental postulates of Expressiomst aesthetics, although it
is a result of an autonomous development.This comparative
analysis serves a double function. It places Lawrence's novel
more firmly in its European context and it presents one more
concrete example of the phenomenon of the stylistic analogies
in different writers of the same or of different national more firmly in its European coment and it presents one more.
