Sažetak

In 2012-2013 a field survey and supervision were carried out during the construction of the new connecting road in the ferry port at Stinica. The surface finds and the remains of walls visible on the Pulver peninsula in the Stinica cove point to an important ancient harbour settlement. This place was previously known as the position of ancient Ortopla, to which belongs also the underwater site in the cove that was threatened by the construction of the new port. A part of the land site was already destroyed by construction during the past century, while the work on the connecting road mostly stayed within the zone of the existing road. However, it is important to point out that the site may still be in danger in the future, considering that it lies in the immediate vicinity of a very busy port.
