Jalžabet – Bistričak: On the eve of the new research

Sažetak

Archaeologists of the Varaždin Municipal Museum and the Institute of Archaeology in Zagreb carried out a repeated survey of the area around the large tumulus in Jalžabet. These surveys helped us determine the probable position of the Early Iron Age settlement, upon which new aerial photographs of the site were made with the aid of an unmanned aerial vehicle. The paper presents a number of old, previously unpublished information, as an introduction into the resumption of systematic archaeological investigations.
