Sažetak

The article presents an example of cross-curricular integration, namely the integration of three school subjects into single teaching process, which was conducted in one elementary school in Slovenia. The cross-curricular integration is a teaching process which presents the teaching subject in a broader context through integration, in our case, of related materials from history, geography, and mathematics. In our example, the teaching itself was a collaborative work of teachers of history and mathematics. The results of evaluation showed that students were very satisfied which was further proved by their prolonged interest in interpretation of materials, search for new materials and activities, and finally by knowledge they presented during written and oral examination. The cross-curricular integration undoubtedly contributed to students’ higher motivation for learning.
