Strengthening masonry walls subjected to shear load

Sažetak

Test results for unreinforced, reinforced and strengthened masonry walls, subjected to vertical compressive load and variable horizontal load, are presented. Unreinforced samples, samples strengthened with steel and GFRP bars, samples strengthened horizontally and vertically, and with horizontal and diagonal glass fibre strips, were tested. All samples were tested in the same manner. The comparison of test results is presented. The behaviour of individual samples during testing is described.
