Sažetak

The novel pyridoxine intermediates, bis-dioxepino[5,6-c]pyridin-9-ols 3 and 4 have been synthesized starting from bis-(4,7-dihydro-1,3-dioxepins) 1. Their constitution and configuration has been confirmed by single-crystal X-ray diffractions of bis-dioxepins la and lb, dioxepinopyridinol 3a maleate salt, as well as 3b and 4b monohydrates.
