Sažetak
The world is shrinking extremely quickly. Turning-point in communications, travel and transportation, the movement toward a single unified market in Europe, the collapse of communism in Eastern Europe, and huge flows of foreign capital and foreign direct investment around the world; all this leads to true global economy. The goal of effective risk management system is to allow continuous business running and achieving the goals of an organization. In order to achieve this, it is necessary to, as far as it is possible, identify and analyze risks the organization is confronting and to evaluate their effects on the business. The financial and economic crisis has emphasized the importance of risk management and led to a higher degree of awareness of their existence. Any risk, even if it appears in an organization, becomes personal in the end: it refers to individual owners, managers, customers, employees... This study points to the importance of risk management in business decision making.
