Sažetak

Welders and other workers in their immediate vicinity are exposed to noise levels that may disturb the work or even be hazardous to health.
This paper measures the noise occurring at the most common welding procedure in industry, the gas metal arc welding with automated feeding of filler material in a shielding gas atmosphere, using a hand guided torch. The welder’s exposure to noise was measured in two different environments: in a laboratory – practically without background noise, and in a shipyard – with a background noise that is above the average. The results of exposure to noise are presented as distributions of sound pressure in time and frequency space.
