Sažetak

As in neighbouring countries development of physical medicine and rehabilitation
medicine in Croatia was slow.
Increament of average life expentance results in progress in the first place of
physical therapy and later as physical medicine and rehabilitation medicine involving all
medical disciplines and imroving the quality of professional work. To accomplish that it
was necessary to pass a long way and egualise with other European countries in regard
of education and health standards in hospitals.
