Sažetak

The neurohistological and neurophysiological studies have proved that the receptor
system of intervertebral joints of the cervical spine belong to the vestibular
system and that the functional disturbances in intervertebral joints can provoke the
identical disturbances as diseases of the vestibular system: such as balance disturbances,
vertigo and nystagmus.
The joint receptor stimulus, during the functional blockade, causes disturbances
in the vestibular system and imbalance of the muscular tonus what is clinically manifested
like characteristic cervicogenic vertigoes. The functional disturbances in the cervica!
spine are sometimes the primary factor in the ethiopathogenesis of the vestubular
vertigo. With the proved cervical factor ("functional blockade"), the expert manipulation
is indicated and very efficient with the cervicogenic vertigo, Meniere disease and
miscellaneous aspects of a vertigo.
