EFFICIENCY RESEARCH IN TREATING PAINFUL SHOULDER BY LASER

Sažetak

This research tri es to determine the efficiency a new form of physical therapy in treating
the painful shoulder syndrome: laser treatment, representing modem technology in medicine.
The research comprised 35 patients who were treated by ten laser treatments, having in
addition individual physical training (corrective exercises) for each patient in the group.
The efficiency regarding of l O procedures were observed on the basis of objective
measurable parameters (abduction, anteflexion, retroflexion, outer and inner rotation, the distance
between vertebrae prominens and styloid radius) as well as in view of anamnestic terms (pain both
at rest and in motion) recorded before the treatment started and after the application of ten
therapeutic procedures.
The statistic results of data processing showed significant difference in the functional
capacity of the shoulder, regarding the objective parameters, after ten procedures.
Laser treatment proved a very efficient in reducing pain also.
