Sažetak

The paper presents two old journals from Bosnia and Herzegovina whish are not very widely known. The first one is Jedro (The sail) and the second one Der Turist (The tourist). Jedro was published in our language and Der Turist in German. While researching the complete journal production in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), we noticed that these two old magazines were very unusual because of their titles as well as the themes they dealt weith. Although we do not possess all the numbers of the journals, the results of the research will enable the public to get acquainted with these two rare and unusual journals. At the same time, their existence shows the interest of the users at the beginning of the 20th century for the themes related to sea, natural rarities, an tourism. Initiating these magazines had contributed to starting tourism as profession in BiH. Until today, these two magazines have remained the only one of this kind in BiH. The purpose of this paper was to explore these magazines, but also to save them from being forgotten, and to enclude them in BiH cultural heritage. Perhaps, it will inspire our cultural and scientific community to start up similar journals.
