THE APPL ICATION OF IONTOPHORESIS IN THE FORM OF A DOUBLE-BLIND TEST IN HEALING THE PATIENTS WITH THE EXTRAARTICULAR RHEill1ATISM

Sažetak

Ketonal cream is applied in the form of iontophoresis
on 20 patients (5 men and 15 women ) in the ag€
between 39 and 70 years with various forms of the extra~
rticular rheumatism. The control goup included 20
pat1ents also various lo-calization of the extraarticular
rheumatism, and it included 18 women and 2 men.
Th7s7 examinees were treated only by the galvanic ele~
tr1c1ty.
The pain intensity was decreased in 80% of the patients
treated by Ketonal cream in the form of iontophoresis
and in 25% of the patients treated only by
galvanic current (P< O. 001).
The best effect of the iontophoresis was acomplished
in the case of the patients with a painful shouldf>r
syndrome and the patients with a knee periarthritis
(80%).
Although this comparative test was performed on a
small sample , a significant difference considering the
effect between these two therapies was achieved.
