Sažetak

Investigations was made on 150 amputees with amputations of lower extremities
in order to evaluate the degenerative changes of lumbosacral spine. The
patients were male aged 20-70 years. There have been taken data indetail on
patient's profession before and after amputation, on position at work and about
cases of amputation.
The comparison has been made with the control group consisting of 100
persons without lower extremities amputations.
After the evaluation of the results investigations of degenerative changes
on the lumbosacral interspace, the author come to the conclusion that, the level
of amputation is a determinative factor for appearence of radiological changes
in the spine, and that they essentially differ from those in the control group.
The profession of patient, the position of body during the work are dominant
factors in evaluation of the degenerative changes of lumbosacral interspace
after the amputation of legs.
