Sažetak
The article describes a rather exoteric and actually profane understanding of ecstasy by analyzing the subjective nature of Christian faith and charity. On the basis of J.G. Fichtes insights on the aporia of human self-awareness it is possible to show ecstatic moments within Christian faith. This subjective phenomenon can then be substantiated by the hermeneutical point made by J.-L. Nancy who considers faith on the point of man being the image of God. Nancys interpretation shows another dimension of ecstasy in faith showing God and man as mutually dependent. Finally ethical consequences will be drawn in reference to S. Kierkegaards concept of Christian charity. Here it can be shown that the ecstatic moments of faith have a profane quality.
