SWITCHGUARD CKA 12 AND CKA 15 SIEMENS PAWL POINT LOCKS FOR INNOVATIVE POINT MECHANISMS

Sažetak
Siemens has been developing its Switchguard© CK A pawl point lock for some time now and has continuously perfected it, thanks to the contribution of various railways. Currently, it is being used as a standard point lock for point mechanisms by numerous Swiss railways, DB Netz AG and other foreign railways. The pawl point lock is a combination of advanced technology and proven functionality, and it also has numerous economic benefits. Constructive solutions and the production of Siemens pawl point locks are based upon up-to-date technological achievements. In order to ensure that top goals are met with regard to product quality, all production procedures are undergoing constant control. Based on the aimed development of this product, which has proven itself in practical application, Siemens was able to integrate the pawl point lock with a point mechanism into a hollow sleeper. In this way, many deficiencies were removed regarding point mechanism installation into the space between sleepers. A special advantage of this configuration is the possibility of machine packing of sleepers, with an appropriate Positive effect on the switch life-cycle.
