Sažetak
It is important to be familiar with annual biological cycle of grapevine, i.e. phenology in order to be able to conduct timely different ampelotechnical measures which can significantly affect the success of winegrowing industry. Except for this, it is also important for conducting other interventions in vineyards, such as protection and fertilization. As varieties differ significantly in duration of certain phenophases as well as in environmental conditions necessary for their beginning and optimal development, the choice of variety appropriate for a certain area is based primarily on its phenology.
