Sažetak
Proper fertilization of corn by mineral fertilizers is necessary for the crop and its quality. It depends on the conditions of the soil and climate, as well as on the needs of corn; therefore, the best way for it to be done is based on analysis of the soil. Depending on the quantity of precipitation and the type of soil, fertilization is done in the basic cultivation of soil, pre- sowing soil cultivation and in corn vegetation. High corn yields require fertilization in ratios: 150 - 200 kg/ha of nitrogen (N), 100-130 kg/ha of phosphorus (P2O5) and 120 - 180 kg/ha of potassium (K2O). Therefore, the basic fertilization should be performed with 500-550 kg/ha NPK 7-20-30 or NPK 8-26-26, and on soils with poor phosphorus content with NPK 10-30-20. Pre- sowing or start fertilization should be with 200-250 kg/ha NPK 15-15-15, with 250 - 300 kg/ha of urea or 230 - 250 l/ha of UAN solution which can be applied together with herbicides before sowing or just after (2 to 3 days) the sowing, but definitely before the corn germinates. The first reinforced nutrition should be performed with 150 -200 kg/ha of KAN or with 100 -150 kg/ ha of urea, and the second one with 100-150 kg/ha of KAN.
