Sažetak

A case of suicidal poisoning by potassium cyanide is described. From the laboratory where he swallowed the poison the patient was promptly transferred to the Reanimation Unit. The clinical death occurred at the entrance to the Unit and lasted two minutes. After uninterrupted intensive resuscitation efforts Iasting eight hours the patient regained consciousness. Symptoms of severe cerebral lesions were manifest four days after reanimation, Liver lesions were also observed. Three months following the accident the patient was discharged from the hospital apparently healthy.
