Sažetak
Contrary to widespread beliefs, decades of modern research have pointed to the potential effectiveness of cognitive interventions in reducing symptoms of schizophrenia and psychotic disorders. The growing interest in constructing and testing various theories and therapeutic approaches aimed at reducing these disturbances resulted in a variety of therapeutic methods. The most prominent of these currently refers to metacognitive training. Metacognitive training is a group therapeutic method that aims at reducing frequent cognitive biases identified in individuals with schizophrenia and psychotic disorders. The purpose of this paper is to present the possibilities of this method within therapeutic and clinical practice.
