COMMUNION OF CATECHISTS
Anton Peranić
Sažetak
The article discusses the theme of communion and fellowship among catechists. The communion is affirmed through the variety of personalities and charisms. Every single person incorporates its peculiarities into the community according to the principle “everyone for everything”, because on its own is unable to do anything special. Communion is one of the basic features of the Church, and several authorities of the Church have spoken on this subject, especially the 2nd Vatican Council. The spirituality of communion was also presented in the apostolic letter “Novo Millenio Ineunte”, at the end of the Great Jubilee in the year 2000. The article delineates some specific features of communion, based on the relationship and love towards God and neighbor. The ability of the catechist to form himself as a person in relation to God will influence all his relationships. The author advises how to strengthen the communion among catechists, giving them support on a personal, diocesan and national level. By enactment of the communion, the catechists testify in a supreme way of ‘how good it is to live together as brothers’. The article invites not to miss occasions for communion, fellowship, exchange of experiences and comforting words, as well as occasions for progress, perfection and learning.
